Tell President Obama You Want To Restrict GM Alfalfa

Upset that the federal government approved genetically modified alfalfa without restriction?  Upset that it permitted planting genetically modified sugar beets this spring despite a court ruling against it?

Monsanto

Monsanto Owns the GM Alfalfa, and Most of the GM Sugar Beets, Recently Approved.

Upset that genetically modified food doesn’t have to be labeled, so you don’t know when you’re eating GMOs?  (Right now food producers don’t have to tell you if they’re using genetically modified ingredients, though large swaths of the processed foods sold in the U.S. contain them.)

The Organic Trade Association makes it easy.  Just follow this link:

Write President Obama About GMOs

The OTA provides language you can use, but if you write some things in your own words too it adds some credibility.

Give it a shot.  It’s one thing you can do to help fight for organic farmers’ rights not to have GM crops cross-pollinate their own.
